Prince William revealed that he and his children hope to receive an invitation to singer Taylor Swift’s wedding to American football player Travis Kelce, scheduled for July 3.
According to the heir to the British throne, the children showed great expectation in being part of the guest list, although the official invitation has not yet been delivered. “I hope we are invited. I’m almost sure of that,” he said.
The strategy for the event, which takes place on the eve of the United States Independence Day holiday, involves notifying guests by phone in an informal “save the date.”
According to information from the TMZ website, the measure seeks to prevent data leaks in the press and reduce the risk of gatecrashers.
Children obsessed with the singer
During his appearance on the Heart Breakfast radio program, the eldest son said that his children closely follow the artist’s career and revealed who the house’s biggest fans are. “Charlotte particularly, but Louis too, to be fair, are obsessed with Taylor Swift,” William declared.
The prince took advantage of the interview to dedicate Taylor’s song “Opalite” to his middle daughter. Charlotte is 11 years old, while her brothers, George and Louis, are 12 and 8 years old, respectively.
Backstage meeting
The British royal family’s closeness to the performer of “Shake It Off” and “Love Story” came into the spotlight in June 2024.
