Detran and the State Secretariat of E de will sign a collaboration agreement to promote education among public school students.
The agreement will be signed this Friday (29), in one of the events that celebrates the month of international awareness campaigns to reduce traffic deaths.
The project plans to support teachers to include this theme from pre-school to high school, as one of the management’s (Republican) initiatives to reduce
The two bodies will work in partnership with the Union of Municipal Education Directors (Undime), the State Education Council and the State Traffic Council (Cetran-SP) in formatting guidelines and a class guide.
“There is no road safety without education. When we take the discussion about traffic into schools, we are forming more aware citizens who are prepared to live safely and respectfully in cities”, says Frederico Arantes, coordinator of the São Paulo State Transit System (Sistran-SP) and president of Cetran-SP.
The content will cover topics such as road infrastructure and assistance to victims in the event of an accident.
“Students will have consistent education on how they should act and behave in the different situations that traffic presents”, says the Secretary of State for Education of São Paulo, Renato Feder.
