The Carolina Hurricanes hockey players will be opponents of the Vegas Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup finals. In the fifth final match of the Eastern Conference play-offs of the overseas NHL, the Montreal Canadiens won 6:1 and triumphed in the entire series 4:1. Slovak forward Juraj Slafkovský played 18:05 minutes in the Montreal jersey, sent one shot at the home team’s goal and scored two minus points.
Carolina advanced to the finals of the Stanley Cup for the first time since 2008. Taylor Hall and Logan Stankoven had a goal and two assists. Danish goalkeeper Frederik Andersen blocked all 23 Montreal shots. The Habs’ only goal was scored in the 51st minute at a score of 0:5 by Cole Caufield on a power play. The finals series will begin Tuesday night into Wednesday, with Carolina having home field advantage in the first two meetings.
