Slovak hockey player Martin Chromiak agreed with the NHL club Los Angeles Kings to extend the cooperation. The 23-year-old striker signed with the “Kings” new annual two-way contract, which would guarantee him an $850,000 salary at the pro league level.
Chromiak was drafted by the Kings six years ago in the 5th round from the overall 128th place, he is still waiting for his chance in the NHL. He has completed four full seasons with the farm Ontario Reign in the minor overseas competition of the AHL.
Last season, he set personal highs in the number of games played in the AHL (71), goals (28), assists (28) and points (56), in all cases he led the team statistics. He scored seven game-winning goals and 12 power play goals, which ranked him among the best in the league. He scored one accurate hit in five playoff duels.
The former Dukla Trenčín player joined the Slovak national team after being eliminated from the Calder Cup and introduced himself at the WC in Fribourg, where he scored four goals and two assists in seven appearances. Together with Marek Hrivík, he was the most productive player of the Slovak team.
