Dandara Ferreira: remembering is also a form of justice – 06/14/2026 – Panel

Director of the documentary “Anatomy of Chaos”, Dandara Ferreira states that the country has not yet been able to fully elaborate on the mourning left behind by one of the most traumatic moments in recent history: the pandemic.

“Anatomy of Chaos”, which opens in theaters on July 2, portrays the government’s (PL) inaction during the pandemic through the behind-the-scenes of Covid-19, in April 2021.

“Making this film was my way of contributing to ensuring that this story is not forgotten. I made this film as an act of solidarity with those who died, their families, loved ones and everyone who believes that remembering is also a way of doing justice”, says the filmmaker.

The documentary will have special sessions, with screenings followed by debates, in Brasília, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Manaus, Recife, Curitiba, Salvador and Fortaleza. According to the director, there will also be a circuit through universities.

“That was a fundamental moment in our democracy. Parliament, which is constantly criticized, took responsibility for what happened”, says Dandara, who also directed “My name is Gal”, .
