World Cup: Striker scores Jordan’s first goal in history and pays tribute

The Austrian team is beating Jordan 2-1 this Wednesday (17), in a match in the first round of Group J of the World Cup. The Asian country’s goal was scored by Ali Olwan, their first in the history of the competition.

Just five minutes into the second half, the Jordanians launched a counterattack and Olwan was used on the left side of the attack. He invaded the area, cleared the mark and hit the corner to score his goal.

During the celebration, the 26-year-old center forward showed a number 11 shirt, in honor of striker Yazan Al-Naimat, who was injured and was not called up for the World Cup.
