The student association in Leoben has once again been in the spotlight since last Friday. Around the foundation’s 140th festival, there is said to have been a brutal attack on a taxi driver who was expelling visitors to a leather event shouting “Sieg Heil” from his car. State security is investigating. The Leder also caused anger by inviting the right-wing extremist German MP Matthias Helferich, who had described himself in chats as the “friendly face of National Socialism” – ironic, in his opinion.
