The solidarity of Venezuelans fills the void in the state response to the earthquake

The message began to circulate on social networks the day after the earthquakes: “Who goes down to La Guaira?” In a matter of minutes, dozens of willing people appeared. Then hundreds. Some offered trucks, others motorcycles, others food, water, medicine or tools. By the morning of June 26, there were already long lines of volunteers preparing improvised convoys to the most devastated area.
