KIEV, June 27 (Reuters) – Ukrainian-made Flamingo missiles hit a factory that produces artillery systems and components for missile launch systems in the Volgograd region of Russia in the early hours of the morning, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Saturday.
The attacks caused a fire at the Titan-Barrikady factory premises, he said on the Telegram app.
The Ukrainian security service SBU also reported that its drones attacked the Vtorovo oil pumping station in Russia’s Vladimir region for the second time this month.
The station is an important logistical center used for the transport of petroleum products for Russia’s domestic consumption and also for export, the SBU reported on Telegram.
“The scope of Ukraine’s far-reaching sanctions continues to expand,” Zelenskiy said, referring to Kiev’s attacks deep inside Russian territory.
“It is precisely our pressure, day after day, that prepares the ground for a dignified peace in the end.”

Ukraine has in recent months stepped up medium- and long-range drone strikes against Russian oil facilities and weapons production in response to Russia’s devastating attacks on the capital Kiev and other cities.
With the war now in its fifth year, fighting is intensifying along more than 1,200 km of the front line, and Russia launches hundreds of drones in almost nightly attacks on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.
