The mother of the senator and pre-candidate for President (-RJ), Rogéria Nantes Bolsonaro, was dismissed this Wednesday (1st) from the position she held in the Science and Technology secretariat of the Rio de Janeiro government.
Rogéria, an advisor in the department since July 2024, asked to leave her role.
In contact with Sheet via message, Rogéria said that she will be a substitute for the Senate in the pre-candidacy of Marcio Canella (União), current mayor of Belford Roxo. She is affiliated with PL.
“I will be legally protected by law to be part of the ticket, which will enable me to continue the fight for a better Brazil”, said the former councilor.
Canella is the only confirmed Senate pre-candidate linked to Bolsonarism. The other ticket has been undefined since former governor Cláudio Castro (PL) became a pre-candidate on May 28, a period in which he was the target of two Federal Police operations within an interval of 11 days.
In a video released on his social networks, the former governor stated that he intends to focus on his defense, and declared that he will not leave public life.
