Government wants sanitary lawyer in office; The vacancy is due to the resignation of Alex Machado Campos
The President (PT) asked the Congress, this Monday (5.MAI.2025), the exchange of the appointment to the board of the (National Surveillance Agency). Here’s (PDF – 92kb).
The government indicated the sanitary lawyer Thiago Lopes Cardoso Campos for the board of (National Surveillance Agency). Baiano, Cardoso is vice president of Idisa (Institute of Sanitary Law Applied), State Health Counselor of the State and Legal Consultant of EBSERH (Brazilian Company of Hospital Services).
With this, he removed the previous nomination of December 16, 2024, which suggested the name of Diogo Penha Soares. He is the current General Coordinator of Mechanical, Electronic and Materials from the Ministry of Health.
The vacancy is due to the end of Alex Machado Campos’ mandate, which renounced the position. Soares had been by Lula on December 16, 2024, but was not sabbathed by the Senate.
