Stockholm – The USA is the new ice hockey world champion. In a competitive endgame against Switzerland, days Thompson scored in Stockholm on Sunday in the third minute of extra time to deserve the American’s 1-0 final victory. It is the third title at World Championships for the United States, the first since 1960. Switzerland received the fourth final defeat after 2013, 2018 and 2024.
