Israel’s army bombed a 12 -story building in downtown Gaza, where dozens of displaced families were housed
The Israeli Army bombed on Monday (8) a 12-story building in the center of the center, where dozens of displaced families were sheltered three hours after asking everyone in the building and hundreds of tents in the surrounding area.
In a statement, Israeli forces said that Hamas militants who “planted information collection” and explosive devices were operating near the building and “used them throughout the war to plan and promote terrorist attacks against Israel’s forces.”
It is the fourth consecutive day when this type of attack takes place in the capital of the Gaza Strip, which goes through an offensive of Tel Aviv to take the largest urban center in Palestinian territory.
On Friday (5), one of Gaza’s highest buildings collapsed after being hit by Israeli missiles. On Saturday (6), the target was the Sousi Tower, about 15 floors, located in the southwest of the city of Gaza, and, this Sunday (7), another building near the attack of this Monday was also overthrown. According to Israel’s defense forces, the buildings were also used by the terrorist group.
Earlier Monday, Israel stated that it would intensify air strikes and land operations in the Gaza Strip in a “powerful hurricane” if Hamas did not release the last hostages that keep in prison and surrender.
In what called a final warning, the Israeli military said that Gaza will be destroyed if the group does not disarm and release the 48 hostages still in their possession.
Palestinian residents said the Israeli forces continue to bombard the city of Gaza by the air and exploded old armored vehicles on their streets. Hamas, in turn, claims to be analyzing the latest proposal for the US ceasefire, presented on Sunday with a warning from President Donald Trump that it was the “last chance” of the group.
“Israelis have accepted my terms. It’s time for Hamas to accept too,” Trump said in a post on the Truth Social network. “I warned Hamas about the consequences of not accepting [o acordo]. This is my last warning, there will be no other! ”
The terrorist group, in turn, released a statement shortly after saying that “ideas from Americans to reach a ceasefire” and is “willing to participate in a negotiating table.”
Israel’s security office, chaired by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, approved last month a plan to expand the military campaign and control the city of Gaza. For the prime minister, the capital is a hamm stronghold, and conquering it is necessary to defeat the terrorist group.
“I say to the residents of the city of Gaza: You were warned, go out!” Said Netanyahu on Monday, adding that Israel knocked 50 “terrorist towers” in recent days in a prelude to a future “terrestrial operation” in the region.
“A powerful hurricane will hit the skies of the city of Gaza today, and the roofs of the terrorist towers will tremble,” wrote Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz in the X before Monday’s attack. “This is a final warning to Hamas killers and rapists in Gaza and luxury hotels abroad: free the hostages and testify your weapons -or Gaza will be destroyed and you will be annihilated.”
On Thursday (4), the Israeli army announced that it already controls 40% of the city of Gaza and said that the military offensive would intensify in the coming days.
