A OPEC (Organization of oil exporting countries) estimates that the production total of fuels Liquids from Brazil grew 70 thousand BPD (barrels per day) in July, at 4.8 million BPD, establishing a new record level for the country, according to monthly report released on Thursday (11).
Only the total Brazilian oil production rose 199,000 BPD in July at 4 million BPD.
Nevertheless, OPEC has maintained the expectation for the offer of liquid fuels in Brazil this year and next.
By 2025, the cartel foresees growth of about 230,000 BPD to an average of 4.4 million BPD. For 2026, OPEC also projects an increase in the offer of 160 thousand BPD, to 4.5 million BPD.
Brazil remains one of four OPEC countries that are expected to boost the advancement of the global supply of liquid fuels by 2025 and 2026, a list that includes US, Canada and Argentina.
Economic growth
OPEC also maintained its projections for the growth of Brazilian GDP (Gross Domestic Product) in the next two years.
According to the report, Brazil’s GDP will advance 2.3% in 2025 and 2.5% in 2026, with risks of low levels caused by the rates imposed by US President Donald Trump and challenges related to the fiscal deficit.
The cartel also maintained forecast that inflation will be raised around 5% by 2025, giving little room for the Brazil BC to cut the Selic rate before the end of this year.

OPEP also maintained its forecast for the global discharge by 2025 by 3%, according to a monthly report released on Thursday. For 2026, the projection of advancement of the global economy was also unchanged at 3.1%.
In the case of US GDP, OPEC continues to expect additions of 1.8% this year and 2.1% in the next.
China’s growth projections were also reaffirmed at 4.8% to 2025 and 4.5% for 2026.
There was also no adjustments to the Eurozone GDP, which is expected to grow 1.2% this year and next, according to OPEC.
