The mayor of Warsaw requests a quick investigation into the causes of the accident.
Eight people, including six children, were injured in Warsaw’s Wesolo district on Monday when a car crashed into the fence of a local damage site. The PAP agency was informed about this by the Polish fire brigade, writes TASR.
According to the spokesman of the fire department, Karol Kierzkowsý, the accident happened in the afternoon. “The car crashed into the fence of the school. Six children and two adults were injured, a total of eight people,” Kierzkowski announced. All the injured were treated by the emergency services.
Three fire brigades responded to the accident. “Currently, the fire department is securing the scene of the accident and assisting the police in the investigation,” the spokesperson said.
The mayor of Warsaw, Rafael Trzaskowski, also commented on the situation. X wrote on the social network that the four injured had to be taken to the hospital. “I would like to thank the emergency services for their effective intervention. I hope that the causes of this disturbing incident will be quickly investigated, because it is important that children feel safe at school,” said Trzaskowski.
