The First Command of the Capital () planned to kill at least two authorities who work directly against the faction. The police and the MP are carrying out a new operation this Friday (24) against the core of organized crime responsible for the executions. Among the faction’s targets are the prosecutor, from the Presidente Prudente region, in the interior of , and the prison director Roberto Medina.
Medina and Gakiya are old targets of the PCC. Both have already had their names involved in other faction plans. They were identified by criminals as “excellent corpses”, that is, notorious victims of organized crime.
Gakiya is one of the main people responsible for investigating the faction in the country. He is a member of the Special Action Group for the Repression of Organized Crime of São Paulo (Gaeco) of the State Public Ministry and has been working against the PCC for more than 20 years.
Medina is coordinator of the penitentiaries in the western region of São Paulo, where most of the PCC leaders in the state are detained.
According to investigations, the criminals monitored Medina’s wife, who had the car photographed. On the cell phone of one of the gang members, the police found prints and audios showing him negotiating rifles, “in addition to collecting prints of georeferencing maps indicating precise locations in Presidente Prudente, including the headquarters of the Public Ministry of Presidente Prudente”.
According to the MP, the faction has a strict division of labor scheme. Each member performed a specific role, without knowing the entire plan, which made it difficult to detect the plot.
At a press conference last month, the Secretary of Public Security, commented on the PCC group trained to kill authorities. Called “Restricted Tactical”, members learn to use various weapons. “These individuals from this sector called Restricted Tactical are those who are trained to carry out attacks against authorities. So, they undergo training in different weapons. (…) This is what we have today, unfortunately, and that is why we cannot underestimate criminal organizations. We have to face criminal organizations with great intelligence and with zero tolerance, because they are extremely dangerous.”
