Vladimir Putin plans to visit India. The Kremlin confirmed the preparation of his work trip. It is supposed to be an opportunity to deepen relations between Moscow and New Delhi.
The Kremlin announced on Monday that it is “actively preparing” Russian President Vladimir Putin’s working trip to India before the end of this year. TASR informs about it according to a Reuters report.
According to the Kremlin, Putin is to visit India in December. He previously visited the country in December 2021 just shortly before ordering Russian troops to attack Ukraine.
Preparing the visit
“We are currently actively preparing for Putin’s visit to India,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters in Moscow. He declined to provide details on the agreements the two countries might sign during the visit.
India is one of the largest importers of Russian oil, for which Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has repeatedly earned criticism from US President Donald Trump.
