Eleven convictions and one acquittal after brutal attacks in Vienna-Donaustadt

The second day of the trial in a case of vigilante justice in Vienna-Donaustadt also attracted a lot of public interest. Apparently there are enough young people with a lot of free time during the day who want to follow the trial of rape, aggravated robbery, intentional grievous bodily harm and coercion, but they came to court room 303 in the Vienna Criminal Regional Court for free. Because there are twelve defendants, the majority of the three rows of spectators are reserved for their legal guardians and probation officers. In order to avoid unrest, police officers in uniform and plainclothes were even assigned to the court to maintain state authority through their presence.
