Venice – Activists from the climate movement Extinction Rebellion turned the waters of the Grand Canal in Venice green as well as rivers and fountains in ten other Italian cities on Saturday. Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg also took part in the event in Venice. Security forces intervened, identified several participants and confiscated musical instruments and an unrolled banner.
