
Two people were injured this morning in 20 square meters of a chalet in . The injured were on the public road when the wall of the house located at number 63 Egeo Street collapsed. The event occurred around 9:22, the time at which the alert was received.
When the brick fence of that single-family home collapsed, these two people were partially trapped by the debris. One of the victims of the incident is a 41-year-old woman, who had a closed fracture of the tibia of her right leg and multiple contusions, and who was transferred to the Getafe Hospital to be treated with a partially serious prognosis, as reported by Emergencies. The other injured person is a 45-year-old man, with moderate head trauma, pelvic trauma with probable fracture and rib trauma. He has transferred him to the 12 de Octubre Hospital.
Four crews from the fire brigade of the Community of Madrid have arrived at the scene and have carried out security work in the area. The firefighters have recommended that the municipal architects review the structure of the entire home to prevent other collapses.
The agents of the Municipal Police of Getafe have taken charge of the investigation, but so far the causes of this collapse are unknown.
