Shahin confirmed that another 26 people were injured, some of them in critical condition. The DHA news agency reported that several passengers were thrown from the bus, which was heading from the city of Tekirdag in northwestern Turkey, in the accident.
Antalya, a popular tourist destination on the Mediterranean coast, has been hit by heavy rains in recent days. “The ground was wet and there was fog in the area. It’s not a place to drive fast, but it seems the bus was going fast.” Sahin told TRT television.
