Moderator Matej Sajfa Cifra (46) is remembered by every Slovak thanks to his unique humor. He uses it not only behind the radio microphone and on TV screens, but also at home. Although he himself admitted that he is more serious at home than his fans are used to, he does not forgive himself for the occasional sarcastic comments.
On the social network, he now took a dig at his wife Veronika Cifrová Ostrihoňová (36), who works as an MEP. She entered the European Parliament after the elections in June 2024. With that came the move to Brussels. Many people questioned her decision because she is the mother of two small children – daughter Sárka (6) and son Šimon (3). At first, Ostrihoňová commuted between Bratislava and Brussels, but after a while the whole family moved to Belgium.
Although Sajfa loves his wife more than anything in the world, it is Ostrihoňová who becomes a frequent target of his jokes. This happened even after the former journalist sent him an innocent viral video, which you can find at the end of the article. It shows how to properly clean the dishwasher. Sajfa quickly turned it around and shared it with his followers on social media.
“My wife instead of sending me some hot pics of herself on Signal (a secure communication platform that is used for chatting, voice and video calls, but messages are strongly encrypted and the application collects a minimum of data about users, editor’s note), so send me this on Instagram“, he complained. Pushing each other, healthy humor and the ability to make fun of one’s own imperfections can do wonders in relationships. Laughter often works as a tension valve, helps to overcome conflicts and reminds us that life should not be taken too seriously. Partners who can laugh together tend to be more relaxed, closer and better able to handle difficult situations.
