A simple trick already known to our grandmothers is gaining popularity again. Instead of turning up the radiator to the highest speed and additionally dehumidifying the air, just spend a few minutes and make your own homemade hot water bottle from a hot water bottle.
This is to provide yourself with specific warmth and comfort. Particularly useful when your feet are cold at night, but the overall temperature in the apartment is adequate.
Just put it under the duvet and after a few minutes you will feel significant relief and at the same time do not increase your bills. But remember this do not put it directly on the skin and do not fall asleep with it pressed tightly to one place, because you can easily burn yourself.
To prepare a home hot water bottle, you only need: a solid plastic bottle, preferably a carbonated drink bottle, and hot (but not boiling) water. Too high a temperature could. It’s best to fill the vessel to about two thirds of its volume.
Close the cap securely to prevent the hot water bottle from leaking. Make sure the cap is firmly in place by turning the bottle upside down. If everything is OK, wrap the bottle in a towel or pillowcase.
Protective material is an absolute “must have” because it will protect your skin from burns and make the heat last longer. Now all you need to do is put the hot water bottle under the duvet, preferably around your feet. After just 5-10 minutes, the bed will become noticeably warmer and warmer.
