What is the World Legends Cup?
The World Legends Cup is an international senior football tournament that brings together former professional players and great idols who have already retired from the field.
The edition being organized for 2026 has the support of names such as Clarence Seedorf (partner and ambassador) and will have Rio de Janeiro as its main headquarters.
The World Legends Cup will bring together eight of the most important and traditional national teams on the global stage. The event will feature a cast of more than 170 confirmed former athletes, with several idols who marked generations and wrote their names in World Cups.
Unlike conventional professional football, the dynamics of the matches were strategically designed to balance the high technical level with the physical reality of the veterans. Games have a reduced duration, generally divided into two halves of 25 or 35 minuteswhich guarantees intensity without overloading the players.
