PF executes search and seizure warrants at the Acre governor’s house

The governor of Acre, Gladson Cameli (PP), was the target of a search and seizure operation by the Federal Police at his residence. According to him, the action involves an investigation that investigates complaints about the evaluation process to obtain a pilot registration at a local aviation school, where he was a student.

In an official note released on social media, the governor stated that he received the PF agents at home and provided, “with calm and transparency”, all the information requested. According to him, the police collected electronic devices and a sum of money of private origin, kept as a financial reserve. The governor declared that proof of the origin of the resources will be presented to the authorities.

Also according to the note, the head of the state Executive said that he remains calm in the face of what happened and thanked the expressions of support received. When contacted, the PF has not yet commented on the case.

“Reiterating my trust in Justice, I regret the attempts of persecution and, once again, of political strategy with the aim of targeting me as the elections approach,” he stated.

In addition to this Thursday’s action, the governor of Acre had already been the target of another Federal Police operation as part of the so-called Operation Ptolemy, launched in 2023 to investigate an alleged scheme of corruption, money laundering and embezzlement of public resources involving the top of the state government.
