Apple pie is my favorite cake and I have made it many times. This time, however, I chose a different version – Paradise Fruit this is an even better version of the popular apple dessert. It is so unique mainly because of the light egg white foam. Each bite melts in your mouth.
Cake:
- 2 cups of wheat flour (250 ml cup),
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder,
- 5 tablespoons of sugar,
- 200 g of margarine,
- 4 yolks,
- a spoonful of cream 18%.
Apple filling:
- 2 kg of apples,
- a spoon of cinnamon.
Egg white foam:
- 4 proteins,
- 120 g sugar,
- a teaspoon of potato flour.
Sift the flour into a bowl, add baking powder, grated margarine, egg yolks and a spoonful of cream. Knead the given ingredients into a smooth, uniform dough. Then divide the dough into two parts (one larger for the base and one smaller for the crumble).
Wrap both pieces of dough in foil and place in the refrigerator. Peel the apples and grate them. Add cinnamon. Mix the ingredients. Set aside for about 15 minutes. If the apples release juice, pour it into a glass.
Line a 26 cm diameter cake tin with baking paper. Take the larger piece of dough from the fridge and roll it out into the shape of a form. Spread it over the bottom and edges of the springform pan. Place the base in the oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for about 15 minutes.
Beat the egg whites with sugar until stiff, at the end of mixing add a tablespoon of potato starch. Mix the ingredients. 5 Remove the baked base from the oven. Spread a layer of apples, then cover them with egg white foam.
Take the second piece of cake from the fridge. Grate it and sprinkle it over the cake. Bake the Rajski Owoc apple pie in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 45 minutes.
