Professionals can only register reports originally published in Spanish or Portuguese between February 18, 2025 and February 19, 2026. There are five categories: text, photography, audio, image and coverage.
35 million Colombian pesos (around R$49,000) will be given to the winners of each category, as well as a certificate and a copy of the sculpture ‘Gabriel’, created by Colombian artist Antonio Caro.
Each journalist can submit up to two works. The options are: one individual registration and one collective or two collectives. It is not permitted to submit two individual registrations with the same user.
Each team can also submit a maximum of two works. The organization considers that it is the same team when the second work brings together the same authors as the first or at least 60% of them.
The winners will be announced during the Gabo Festival, between July 23 and 26, in , on . More information on the program website.
