Are you tired of traditional dewolaje and chicken fillets? They are tasty, but boring, so instead of serving the same poultry dish for the thousandth time on the weekend, surprise your loved ones and conjure up something for them that will cause a real stir at the table.
Make a delicious, juicy roll in an unusual version. Once it arrives in your home, it will be such a hit that your family will smile from ear to ear, cluck with delight and ask for it at every opportunity.
If you want to make a really good chicken roulade, choose good quality chicken meat. Match the accessories to your and your loved ones’ tastes. If you don’t like dried tomatoes, for example, don’t force them in there just because they are in the recipe. You can replace them with, for example, capers or olives, if you like them better.
Recipe for chicken roulade – ingredients:
- – 2 pieces
- frozen spinach – 90-100 g
- garlic – 2 cloves
- dried tomatoes – 5-6 pieces and 2-3 tablespoons of brine
- fresh basil – 5 leaves
- pumpkin seeds – as desired
- salt, black pepper – as desired
- rapeseed oil – 1 tbsp
To prepare the chicken rolls, start by defrosting the spinach. Then proceed to clean and pound the fillets through the foilto obtain thin, even sheets. Sprinkle them with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a small amount of rapeseed oil in a pan, add previously chopped garlic and fry it for a while. Add the spinach and fry it for a few minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper. Add chopped dried tomatoes, marinade and chopped fresh basil. Mix everything and remove from heat.
Spread an equal portion of spinach stuffing on each fillet and sprinkle it with pumpkin seeds, to give the roll even more flavor and crunch. Roll the meat into tight rolls (if necessary, you can tie them with kitchen string).
Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan and fry the rolls on each side until golden brown. Reduce the heat, cover the pan and cook for another 15 minutesuntil the meat is completely cooked inside. Serve warm with your favorite additions, e.g. rice/baked potatoes and a light salad.
