Exporters are worried about the development of oil supplies to Slovakia: A clear message from the Ministry of Economy!

The Council of Slovak Exporters (RSE) is concerned about the development of oil supplies to Slovakia after the Druzhba pipeline was damaged at the end of January as a result of the war in Ukraine. Exporters expect the Slovak Ministry of Economy to adopt clear and effective measures for a long-term, sustainable and price-stable solution to securing oil supplies for Slovakia, RSE reported on Friday.

According to RSE, supply uncertainty complicates production planning, contracts and prices on domestic and foreign markets. The solution in the form of oil deliveries via Croatia is perceived by exporters as a temporary solution due to the capacity and infrastructural limitations of the route. “Stable, predictable and affordable supplies of strategic raw materials are a basic prerequisite for maintaining the export performance of the Slovak Republic,” the exporters added.
