The President of the United States, Donald Trump, crossed “a very dangerous red line” by killing Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, said the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadehto CNN in an exclusive interview this Sunday (1st).
Khatibzadeh said many Shiite followers around the world will react to Khamenei’s murder.
“Of course, from a religious point of view, he was a great religious leader, so many Shia followers throughout the region and the world will react to this, and this is very obvious because President Trump has crossed a very dangerous red line,” Khatibzadeh said.
“We have no other option but to respond”he added.
The official source stated that Iran communicated with the Gulf Arab states so that close American bases that Tehran considers a threat.
“We communicated to them: either they close these American bases that are constantly threatening Iran and that are constantly used to attack Iran, or we have no other option but to react,” he said.
Iran “cannot reach American territory, so we have no option but to attack any bases that are under US jurisdiction,” he added.
