The arrest of the 51-year-old man occurred during an investigation into a domestic violence case, which led to a house search.
A 51-year-old man was arrested in the municipality of Coruche, district of Santarém, for possession of more than two dozen prohibited weapons, the National Republican Guard (GNR) said in a statement this Sunday.
According to the GNR, the arrest occurred during an investigation as part of a domestic violence case, which led to a home search by members of the Coruche Territorial Post.
During this search, a large quantity of weapons was seized, including six revolvers of various calibers, six compressed air guns, three muskets, two pistols, two axes, a spring-loaded razor, a machete, a saber, a rattle, a stick, a bow, 25 arrows and 107 ammunition of different calibers.
The detainee was named a defendant and the facts were communicated to the Judicial Court of Santarém.
