Vienna/Eisenstadt – Burgenland’s Governor Hans Peter Doskozil (SPÖ) called for a depoliticization of the ORF and a new regulation for the appointment of the general director on Wednesday. In a position paper, which is also available to STANDARD, he suggests that in future the Constitutional Court (VfGH) should select the three best applicants with the involvement of a depoliticized foundation board. The Federal President should then choose one of them as the new ORF boss.
