The Federal Police pointed out that the owner of Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro, had an “armed arm” to intimidate his enemies, with the “repeated use” of “coercion and serious threats by a type of private militia”. The information is contained in the decision of the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) André Mendonça, who ordered the arrest of the banker and the members of this group. They deny wrongdoing.
Among the evidence collected by the investigators are the exchange of messages, proof of payment and the trail left by access to restricted systems of the PF and Federal Public Ministry.
In conversations intercepted by the PF, the banker gives instructions to “break all the teeth” of journalist Lauro Jardim, “grind” a person identified as an employee and “shake” a cook.
According to the investigation, Vorcaro maintained a group called “The Gang”, aimed at illegally obtaining confidential information and intimidating critics of the Master. The targets of the “Class” would be people who supposedly went against the Master’s interests.
Among the members were Luiz Phillipi Machado de Moraes Mourão, nicknamed Sicário, who died two days after arrest as a result of a suicide attempt, according to the PF; and retired federal police officer Marilson Roseno da Silva, who is currently in prison.
Regarding the columnist of GLOBOVorcaro wrote to Mourão: “This lauro I want to have him beaten up. Break all his teeth. In a robbery.” Mourão would have reacted with two positive sign symbols and replied: “We are on top of all the negative links, we will take them all down and we will release positive ones”.

According to the PF, “there is strong evidence” that Vorcaro paid R$1 million per month in remuneration for illicit services. The amount is mentioned in messages, which accompany proof of the bank transfer to an account indicated by Mourão.
In addition, the investigators also stated that the Class used functional credentials of employees of public bodies to obtain confidential information.
“Based on this methodology, according to the police authority, the person being investigated (Mourão) would have gained undue access to the systems of the Federal Police itself, the Federal Public Ministry, and even international organizations, such as the FBI and Interpol”, says Mendonça’s decision.
