“Travessas de Lagos” invites restaurants to create sharing menus inspired by Algarve cuisine

Registration is open for restaurants wishing to be part of the first edition of “Travessas de Lagos”, a new gastronomic event that will take place throughout the month of May 2026, in the municipality.

Inspired by the Portuguese tradition of sharing at the table, the initiative proposes a route through several participating establishments, inviting residents and visitors to discover different snack platters designed for group consumption.

Participating restaurants are challenged to create an exclusive platter for four people, based on the local gastronomic identity, focusing on regional products, traditional recipes or contemporary approaches to Algarve cuisine.

Each proposal will be integrated into a fixed price menu of 20 euros, which includes a snack platter and four drinks.

Inspired by events such as Rota das Tapas or , the format was designed to ensure simplicity and balance, both for participants and establishments.

Visitors will be able to purchase a “Sharing Pass” in advance, worth 2.50 euros, which allows access to the circuit of participating restaurants through a digital system.

The organization emphasizes that the event represents an opportunity for restaurants to reinforce their visibility, attract new audiences and contribute to boosting the sector during the spring.

The initiative also aims to affirm Lagos as a reference destination for valuing gastronomy, sharing and the cultural identity of the Algarve.

The number of registrations is limited, but restaurants interested in participating can obtain more information and formalize their registration by organizing the event via email or via whastapp +351 912 417 907.
