The Government announced that the network of public service spaces, such as Shops and Citizen Spaces, will be reinforced with regard to services related to savings products, going from seven to 12 locations across the country.
According to a joint statement from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of State Reform, from March 23, five more Citizen Spaces will make these services available, including the one in Faro.
In these spaces it will be possible to access a wide range of functionalities, such as subscribing and redeeming savings products, updating personal data associated with accounts and dematerializing physical certificates of series A, B and D.
This reinforcement was carried out through a cooperation protocol between IGCP – Treasury and Public Debt Management Agency and ARTE – Agency for State Technological Reform.
It is worth remembering that on January 5, 2026, a process of dematerialization of series A, B and D began, which still have physical support.
Holders can go to and other authorized spaces to hand over their paper certificates and receive the digital counterpart, and this process will last almost four years, until November 29, 2029.
