The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), reinforced to minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), the house arrest request for Jair Bolsonaro (PL). The argument was the health condition of the former president, who has been hospitalized since last Friday (13) due to a lung infection.
He left the Supreme Court at around 8:40 pm this Thursday (19) after a sequence of conversations with court ministers. The first meeting was at 4pm.
Throughout the afternoon and evening of this Thursday, Tarcísio met with five Supreme Court ministers: Moraes, Luiz Fux, Gilmar Mendes, Cristiano Zanin and Edson Fachin.
The official agenda of the other meetings focused on actions that question the Sabesp privatization lawwhose trial is scheduled to begin on Saturday (21) in the virtual plenary.
The former president was convicted of an attempted coup and ended up in prison. With health problems, he was transferred from the Papuda penitentiary in Brasília to a hospital in the city, where he remains under medical supervision.
