Iran attacks cities near Israel’s main nuclear research center

The offensive came hours after Trump threatened to ‘obliterate’ Iranian power plants if Tehran does not open the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours

Iranian missiles hit the cities of Dimona and Arad this Sunday (22), close to Israel’s main nuclear research center, injuring dozens of people e destroying residential buildings. The attack came hours after US President Donald Trump called on Tehran not to fully open the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours.

Events indicate that the war in the Middle East, now in its fourth week, is taking a nova e dangerous driving.

Sirens sounded across Israel as Iran launched new waves of attacks on Sunday. In the south of the country, residents faced devastation in the cities of Dimona and Arad. In northern Israel, a man was killed in an attack by the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Arad and stated that it was a “miracle” no one died in the explosionwhich caused major damage a several buildings. He also warned that, if all residents had run to shelters, no one would have been injured, and asked everyone to heed the sirens’ warnings.
