Vehicle fell into the sea while carrying out a routine exercise; searches found all 7 members dead
A Qatari military helicopter crashed into the sea during a routine exercise this Sunday (22 March 2026), leaving 7 people dead. No passengers survived.
According to the official account of the Qatar Ministry of Defense on Instagram, the reason was a technical failure. No specific information was provided about the type and reason for the failure.
Among the passengers were: 2 pilots, 2 agents from the Qatari armed forces, one from the Turkish forces and 2 Turkish civilians, employees of the Turkish defense company Aselsan. The Ministry of Defense expressed condolences to the families of those killed.
