Melania launches education plan with representatives from 40 countries

First Lady of the United States presents “Promoting the Future Together” program to debate educational policies

The First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, launched the initiative this Tuesday (24 March 2026) (Advancing the Future Together), at the US Department of State. The event brought together representatives from more than 40 countries in Washington to discuss access to education and technology for children.

The goal of the summit is to empower girls and boys by creating innovative programs, advocating for supportive educational policies, sponsoring technology-focused legislation, and building public-private partnerships.

“Each of you plays an essential role in building technological opportunities for the next generation”, said the wife of the President of the United States, Donald Trump (Republican Party).

The first lady asked participants to organize regional meetings, conduct research studies and begin new partnerships “to cultivate the skills young people need to succeed in this rapidly evolving world.”

Melania Trump announced the initiative “Fostering the Future Together” in November 2025. On that occasion, the first lady stated that the mission of the global coalition of nations is “ensure every child can thrive in the digital age”.
