After “Hannah Montana” special, Miley Cyrus announces new single

O Hannah Montana 20th anniversary special debuted in the Disney+ catalog on Tuesday (24). Miley Cyrus33, announced this Wednesday (25) the release of his new single, titled “Younger You”which hits digital platforms this Friday (27).

At the end of the special, the singer performed live, for the first time, the new song, described by her as a kind of letter dedicated to her younger self, since the beginning of her career.

In the excerpts released in the preview, you can hear part of the lyrics: “Hey, you, it’s you younger. I know your story isn’t over yet, but do you love who you’ve become? Hey, you, it’s you younger. When you’re at the top of the stars, don’t forget who you are.”

In the statement presented in the special, Miley Cyrus commented on what the honor represents: “It has been an honor. Looking back, I remember each memory with a heart overflowing with love. Hannah gave me this star, but my fans gave me this life.”

In the official publication that announced the single, accompanied by the song’s cover, Miley shared an emotional text about the meaning of the song and the song.

“Celebrating isn’t just honoring a series, it’s a full circle moment for me. HM was the beginning of the life I know today. The bond that my fans and I share is as rare and beautiful as this entire journey has been.”

“I adore you all and love you deeply. This birthday special is a gift from me to your younger self, my way of saying thank you for your loyalty and for growing with me every step of the way.”
