The time change explained for children: pointer forward or back?

Daylight saving time begins on Sunday. To be more precise, the clocks are set forward at 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. This works completely automatically on many cell phones, computers and radio-controlled clocks. You have to change other clocks yourself. Of course, you don’t have to set the alarm clock, it’s enough after you get up normally. When we switch to daylight saving time, we lose an hour of sleep. This can be quite annoying in the first few days. But there is also a good side to this: in the evening it stays light for an hour longer. In autumn it is exactly the opposite. Then the clocks are set back one hour. The two time changes always take place on the last Sunday in March and on the last Sunday in October. With this mnemonic you can remember how to adjust the clock. In spring it gets warm: you put out the garden furniture before the door and the hands one hour before. It gets cold in autumn: you move the furniture back in and also the hands one hour back.
