The tragedy that killed Francisco occurred on Rua Conde de Bonfim, near Rua Pinto de Figueiredo. The boy was in driven by her mother, Emanoelle Martins Guedes de Farias, 40 years old.
According to the Fire Department, the vehicle in which mother and son were traveling was blocked by a passenger car, causing them both to fall under the rear wheel of a bus.

Emanoelle died at the scene of the accident. Francisco was rescued by Samu (Mobile Emergency Care Service) and taken to Andaraí Hospital, but the Municipal Health Department confirmed that the child did not survive the serious injuries.
The Tijuca unit of Colégio Pedro II, where the child studied, formally expressed its regret over the student’s death, highlighting his coexistence at the institution and offering support to family and friends in this moment of pain.
The detailed circumstances of the collision are being investigated by the 19th Police Station (Tijuca).
Civil Police agents carry out investigations, search for images from security cameras in the region and collect statements from witnesses to understand exactly how the collision occurred.
In a statement, the Rio Ônibus union stated that it is following the case and awaiting the conclusion of the official expert opinion so that the dynamics of the accident can be fully clarified.
