Iranian attacks hit the Middle East, fires in the gas plant and refinery disrupted operations

Iran’s attacks hit the UAE, Jordan and Kuwait, leaving at least 14 injured. Falling debris hit the gas complex and caused extensive fires.

Middle Eastern countries reported further attacks by Iran on Friday as well. A total of at least 14 people were injured in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Jordan. Kuwait, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia also experienced attacks. TASR informs about it according to the DPA and AFP agencies and the BBC station.

At least 12 people were injured in Abu Dhabi due to falling debris from a drone. “Six persons of Nepali nationality and five persons of Indian nationality (suffered light to moderate injuries) and one person of Nepali nationality was seriously injured,” the Abu Dhabi media office confirmed on Platform X.

A fire broke out in the Habshan gas complex in the same emirate on Friday, caused by falling debris from a failed attack. The operation of the complex was suspended. According to the UAE Armed Forces, a total of 18 ballistic missiles, four cruise missiles and 47 drones have been intercepted so far on Friday.

Catholic churches in Dubai announced during the day that they had canceled all Masses at the direction of the government, due to the ongoing conflict in the region. Two rockets were also shot down by the Jordanian army, the state news agency PETRA reported. Two people were injured in the incident and are in a stable condition. Earlier in the day, Kuwait confirmed that another drone attack caused a fire at the Mina Ahmadi oil refinery. Iran also hit a plant for electricity generation and desalination.
