A businesswoman accused of forging documents belonging to former football player Ronaldinho Gaúcho was arrested in the city of Asunción, in Paraguayon the afternoon of this Thursday (2). Dalia López, 55 years old, had been on the run since 2020. The information was released by National Police and the country’s Public Ministry.
According to the Paraguayan police, the woman had an open arrest warrant and is accused of crimes of falsification of public documents and criminal association.
According to the Paraguayan Public Ministry, the operation against Dalia was commanded by prosecutor Federico Leguizamón, who led the procedures that allowed the woman to be located and arrested.
In 2021, a prosecutor from the agency highlighted that “This woman’s ability to escape justice, to remain at large, is clearly superior to the police’s ability to arrest her.”
He reinforced that the case has a great impact on society, as the production of falsified documents in a criminal association is extremely dangerous for the security of the State. “This woman demonstrates superlative strength compared to the National Police’s ability to execute the order,” he added.
