Attack on Nikopol

The city of Nikopol in Ukraine’s Dnepropetrovsk region was hit by a Russian drone attack on Saturday morning, which claimed at least five lives and injured 19. The governor of the region, Oleksandr Hanža, confirmed on Telegram that three women and two men were killed. According to him, there is also a 14-year-old girl who is in a “critical condition” among the injured.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that they shot down a total of 260 out of 286 Russian drones overnight on Saturday.

More night attacks

Night attacks were also reported by the city of Sumy in northeastern Ukraine, where, according to the local police, at least 11 people were injured. The mayor of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, in turn, said that falling fragments of drones set fire to an administrative building in the city.

Early Friday evening, Russia launched a bomb attack on the city of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine. The incident claimed four lives, including a 16-year-old boy, regional prosecutors reported on Saturday.
