A 39-year-old woman was taken by surprise by three criminals who approached her and announced a robbery, last Friday (3), in the Cidade Atlântica neighborhood, in Guarujá, on the coast of São Paulo.
The victim was holding her 10-month-old son on her lap when the suspects ran towards her and stole her belongings.
In the images obtained by CNN Brazilit is possible to see the first suspect holding a pistol while taking the woman’s objects. Then, the other individuals arrive, assist in the robbery and flee in sequence.
In a statement, the SSP-SP (Public Security Secretariat of the State of São Paulo) said that the criminals stole a gold necklace, a cell phone and other personal objects.
ROMU (Ronda Ostensiva Municipal), which responded to the incident, reported that it was called via Copom because of one in which the victim was staying.
According to the corporation, four individuals arrived with a silver Honda Civic car. After the incident, the vehicle was located in a car wash on Avenida Antártica, one of the main roads in Praia.
At the scene, an individual was identified as an employee and a green t-shirt was also found, corresponding to the characteristics reported about one of the individuals’ clothing, as well as a small bottle of blue water.
The SSP reported that the detainee had provided the vehicle for the action and remained inside the car during the robbery.

According to ROMU, the man was taken to the city police station and is in custody.
The other suspects were identified through security camera images and the case was registered at the Guarujá Police Station. Investigations are ongoing to locate others involved.
