Falling debris after the intercepted attack injured a Ghanaian citizen in the industrial zone of Abu Dhabi. The emirate is facing a growing wave of missile and drone attacks from Iran.
The United Arab Emirates said on Monday that falling debris from the intercepted attack injured one person in Abu Dhabi’s industrial zone. TASR writes about it according to the AFP agency.
“The incident resulted in moderate injuries to a Ghanaian national” in Abu Dhabi’s Musaffa area after being successfully intercepted by air defense systems, the emirate’s government media office said on X Portal.
On Sunday, authorities in the emirate of Sharjah said they were “dealing with an incident targeting Khor Faqan”, a key port in the Gulf of Oman. Pakistani nationals were injured there, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Portal X that he was “deeply concerned”.
Gulf countries have borne the brunt of Iran’s retaliatory attacks since the US and Israel launched attacks against it in late February. The United Arab Emirates is the main target of missiles and drones fired over the Persian Gulf.
