Ukraine attacked a chemical plant in northern Russia with the help of long-range drones after the end of a 32-hour ceasefire, its representatives said on Monday. TASR informs about it according to the report of the DPA agency.
The target of the attack was an ammonia production company in Cherepovets, approximately 400 kilometers north of Moscow. said the commander of the Ukrainian unmanned systems units, Robert Brovdi, on the Telegram platform. The factory annually produces hundreds of thousands of tons of ammonia, ammonium nitrate and nitric acid, which among other things are also used in the production of explosives, reports the DPA agency.
The mayor of Cherepovets, Andrej Nakroshaev, confirmed the attack on the industrial complex, but at the same time added that there is no danger to the city itself, TASS reported. Cherepovets is approximately 900 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, which means that Kyiv is able to hit distant targets on Russian territory.
