O investigates the lack of R$294,000 in the club’s cash flow in a period that corresponds, for the most part, to the management of former president Augusto Melo. In a note released on Monday (April 13, 2026), the club stated that changes in values were identified from January 17 to July 11, 2025.
In the statement, Corinthians said that an independent audit confirmed the amount and stated that “is adopting all applicable judicial and administrative measures to fully investigate the facts, committing to publicizing the developments in the case as soon as definitive conclusions are reached.”
Former president Augusto Melo, removed on May 26, 2025, declared to the portal ge not knowing what the inconsistency is about and stated that he had managed “clean”.
He said: “I left in the last week of May. I don’t know what it’s all about. My management was clean and it’s proven by the corporate card. Then it goes until July. A year later they want to invent it. It has to do with the finances. They were the ones who took care of it.”
Corinthians did not close the numbers for 2025 and the data was not presented to the Fiscal Council and Cori (Guidance Council). The financial statement must still be voted on by the Deliberative Council.
