“I respect President Hugo Motta. And it’s normal in a democracy to have differences between the Executive and Legislative branches. I just think that, if he wants to criticize me, it’s not a good choice to talk about votes. I was the most voted deputy in São Paulo and the second in Brazil”, the minister told the column. “[Motta] I should look for other arguments”, added Boulos.
The president of the Chamber was especially irritated by the minister’s statement that “the jaguar will drink water”, in reference to the government sending a new bill on the end of the 6×1 scale. Motta supports a constitutional amendment on the issue that is being discussed in Congress.
